Ann Parker was Head of HK in the UK and ran the Open College Network accredited programme from 2001 to 2008. Ann trained initially with both Jane Thurnell-Read and Dr Scott and has had busy HK practices in both North Yorkshire and Derbyshire since 1990. A graduate of the Queensland Teachers College she taught for twelve years in mainstream education in Australia and Canada. While in Canada she also ran programmes for adult learners and so understands their needs.

In the UK Ann served on the working party to set the Kinesiology National Occupational Standards and as a Policy Board Member of the Kinesiology Federation. At the International Kinesiology Conference in 2005 Ann received an award for her dedication, support and inspiration to others in kinesiology.

In 2007 Ann was made a Fellow of the Kinesiology Federation in recognition of services to Kinesiology in the UK over many years, received a Certificate of Appreciation for contributions to Health Kinesiology™ from Dr Scott as well as steering Health Kinesiology™ through the recognition process by the Australian Kinesiology Association.

Ann's personal commitment, passion, knowledge and command of HK have been an inspiration to all her students since 1994 encouraging them to achieve their full potential. Her classes provide a safe caring environment for learning with just the right balance of theory and practice and so integrating the two into a highly professional, progressive training. Ann also provides ongoing support between classes.
